Dining
Eating should always be fun and a little adventurous; the diversity
of food is always something to be celebrated.
There are no substitutes for quality, freshness or flavour.
Ingredients should be focussed strongly on local organic produce and
this produce should be treated with the utmost respect, from the
providores to the dining table.
Scene
With its sweeping views of picturesque rice terraces and tropical
rain forest scene is the perfect location for breakfast, and also
for our famous cooking classes. The landscape in the mornings is a
sight to behold, the skies are clear, the mountains and volcanos can
be seen on the horizon, the people from the local villages are at
work in the rice paddies and the temple is a buzz with life.
On the nights we serve our tantalising Balinese seafood barbecue
scene is the location of choice; it’s always a good idea to come a
little early and watch the colours of the rice paddies change as the
sun disappears over the mountains.
Swept Away
The deck at swept away is a stone’s throw from the river. It is an
ideal setting to allow you to slow down, relax and unwind. Our
comfortable “lounge” furniture, combined with the cooling breeze
from the river creates an ambiance perfect for a glass of bubbles, a
cocktail or two, or an ice cold beer.
For lunch the menu is relaxed, light and healthy, a mixture of
salads, sandwiches and local fare.
In the late afternoons a small bites menu, best described as “Asian
Tapas” is on offer. This menu contains an assortment of delicious
morsels designed to tantalise the taste buds and sets the theme for
the dining experience that follows.
In the evenings the menu is modern eclectic, with an adventurous
flare. The atmosphere stays tranquil and relaxed but the setting
morphs in to an enchanting and romantic playground; abound with
sensual foods, fine wines and cocktails.
swept away offers two menus in the evenings, one an ala carte menu,
the other a degustation. The degustation menu comprises of smaller
tastes of our signature dishes, four or six courses is the only
choice you need to make with this menu, then leave the rest up to us
